A Smile To Light Up Everyone’s day Scrapbook Page

Good evening, tonight I have a page I made in class at Jacques last month, I was very lucky as I always forget to take photos with me but the colour on Caities Jersey matches perfectly. This is such a sweet page with  a lot of different textures added. We have used glitter brads, buttons, pearls, rhinestone brads, ribbon, thread, glitter, embossing folders and some punches and dies. Although it looks like quite a simple page there were a lot of things to do on here.

Close up of the bird and the rosettes. Every rosette has a different finish for the centres. I punched out the extra circle behind Caitlyn’s name just to make that stand out a bit more. The base of the bird is stamped and then embossed. The wings have been sponged in the same colour.

I hope your weather is better than ours at the moment, we have had terrible winds but its more annoying is one moment the sun is shinning and the next it is pouring down.

Unfortunately my camera is at the shop getting fixed so until I have it back I can not take any photos to blog, so as soon as I get that back I will be back.

Joy Riding Scrapbook Page

Good afternoon, here is the second scrapbook page I finished last weekend. I actually started this one a few months ago but just never got around to finishing it. It is of my two kids mucking around with a dolls pram. They were taking turns at pushing each other around the kitchen, at one stage Caitie got stuck in it, that was so funny.

This page is using the SAB papers, I still love these and am so glad I got a few packs. I have used faux stitching to connect the two papers together and finished the outside edges with different borders. These buttons are not SU but the colours fitted beautifully and added a new texture to the page. I used the heart embosslit folder with a punched heart in red glitter cardstock over the front. The other details speak for themself.

Enjoy your weekend, and all those mothers out there have a great Mother’s Day filled with love from your family and friends.

Boy Scrapbook Page Using Rosettes

Good afternoon, today I have a scrapbook page to share with you. I made this last weekend and im still not sure about it, but the ladies I scrap with just loved it. This was taken of my son on Matakana Island a few weeks ago. I have used the new pleated Satin ribbon at the bottom just to balance the page. I used the new score tool to make the rosettes, these are fun to make and look great. The title is made using the pennants punch, I haven’t used this one a lot but I do like the effect it gives.

Stamp Camp Scrap Challenge

Good evening, tonight I have a A4 scrapbook page to show you but this one is very different, at stamp camp we had a challenge and were given a small bag of scraps including an A4 piece of Very Vanilla, we were not allowed to use any cutting equipment to cut up the DSP but we could cut the Very Vanilla. Our group consisting of Pam Olds, Paula Reid, Vicky-Lee Mueller and myself decided to keep the A4 whole and make a scrapbook page with it. Some made baby cards, one group even used flax and made a very neat bunch of flowers with theirs.

We had a lot of fun making this and even learnt some new techniques, like the chain you can see at the top. This is using the scallop border punch. First you cut you paper at 7/16ths then you punch out one side along the whole side, then you turn it over and line it up against the markings on the punch and punch out that side. A big thank you to Sally who showed us this one.

School Uniform Layout

Good morning, well the first week of the school holidays are nearly over and I have to say with having my 9 year old niece here, it has gone quite smoothly. She just dotes on Bradley and loves to help him out, which means I don’t have to run every time he calls. Next week the kids and I are off to Hamilton for the week to spend some time with my family and best of all we are off to my best friends house to scrap for a couple of nights. Nikki lives nearly three and a half hours away so we don’t get to scrap together very often, and nearly always one of the kids get sick when we do organise something. Fingers crossed nothing stops us this time.

For todays post I have a scrapbook page I made using the Owl Punch rose technique. It’s a simple page and that’s the way I wanted to keep it, since it is of my daughter for the first time in her School Uniform. I added the flower to give the page some bling.

Here is my layout:

Don’t you just love the socks, I didn’t even think about her feet when I took the photos. I have a second page I am doing to complete this layout of Caitlyn in Her pants and jacket as well. (sorry about the flash on the page)

This rose tends to stick out a bit so as it was drying I pushed the rose flatter, and it sits on the page better.

These are not Stampin Up papers but the Tangerine Tango Cardstock (flower) matched perfectly with the orange in the paper.

Family Scrapbook Page

Good evening, I have had a rather busy day today , it started with team training this morning at Jacques house followed by a great afternoon scrapbooking with a lovely friend Dionne. Its getting rather late here, but since I managed to complete two single scrapbook pages and just about one double page (I just need to add the title and journaling tomorrow) I thought I should quickly blog one of them.

This is a photo of my Family, My loving and very caring husband, Nick. Then its me and on the bottom are my two gorgeous children Caitlyn (4) and Bradley (1). I didn’t want too much on this page so it wouldn’t take away just how special this photo is to me, so I have used the speciality papers called Presto Patterns DSP, and sponged the edges in Crumb Cake. For the strip of card stock I have used Basic Black, Brocade Blue (retired) and Real Red. I have also used the Real Red on the photo corners to bring in the colours (a big thanks to Dionne for that idea). We decided it didn’t need a heading as the page spoke for itself, so I added the date instead.

A Walk in the Park Scrapbook Page

Good afternoon,

Today I have a scrapbook page to share with you, this has been made for a mini challenge with Stampin’ Fun and Friends.

The page is of my daughter trying to walk her Nanni and Poppa’s dog Rosie. It was quite a funny thing to watch, we never knew who was walking who as most of the time Rosie was in the lead.

Here is the Picture we had for inspiration:

As you can see all the flowers were cut out by hand and then stuck together to create a vine.

Have a great weekend, We have Caitlyn’s 5th birthday party on Sunday so it is going to be a very busy weekend for me. I made her cake tonight so at least that is out of the way, as soon as we find our camera I will take a photo and share it with you all.

Bubbles of Fun Scrapbook Page

Good morning, it’s a beautiful day today although it’s cold the sun is shinning so it can only get warmer as the day goes on.

The other week I had a good friend come over and we had an evening of scrapbooking. I made 5 pages which is a record for me to make in one day. Although I did cheat a little, we always have a sketch challenge that I choose, but we both really liked it so I made three pages using the same layout, but different colours and embellishments, these will also go into different scrapbooks so it doesn’t matter.

JAI #64

Good afternoon, Todays post is just a quick one, I took a look over at just add ink and this week is all about chocolate, well it is supposed to be your favourite wrapper but hey with children the wrapper doesn’t matter it’s the chocolate inside, so what better time to post a cute scrapbook page I did for my daughters first Easter egg.

Take a look at her face there was no way she was going to share that egg, even if it was bigger than her.

Book Worm Scrapbook Page

Good morning, as always it was a very early start to the day, the kids are getting up way too early these days.  I did this double page a few months ago but forgot to post it.

Nick was lying on the couch reading his book when Bradley decided to join him. He even went and got his own book pulled his pillow over beside the couch and laid down to read. He even held his book up just like daddy, (although it was upside down at first) it was very cute.

I have used the circut to cut out the book shape and title but everything else is Stampin Up product. With the book mark I have used the Grosgrain Ribbon and just pulled a thread at the bottom to create the tassel. For the truck I have stamped straight on the page for one side and on the other I stamped onto accate first then pressed down onto the page for the image to transfer onto my page, this gave me the truck going the opposite way.
