Pilot Bay Scrapbook Page

Good morning,

Last night I had my good friend Dionne around for a scrapbooking afternoon/evening. As always it was great, we normally would go to around mid-night but unfortunately   Dionne’s Aunty passed away yesterday so it was a quick few hours instead of the whole night since she had a very long journey to Gisborne this morning.

As always I printed off a sketch challenge for us to do, I quite liked this one it was super clean but very pretty.

Here is the sketch:

sketch52

it is from a website called http://52sketches52weeks.com/. Although the 52 weeks are up the sketches are all still there.

Here is my page or pages in this case.

Isn’t this cute, it was the first time my daughter went in a kayak and she just loved it. Even after an hour in it she still didn’t want to get out. The flowers are not Stampin Up but don’t the colours match perfectly. The pearls are also non Stampin Up but once again they are a pretty close match. I cut the circle out using my Cricut and since it centred it perfectly I decided to do a second page using the outside of the cut circle piece. I just need to decide what to write on that one, or I may just leave it simple.

Here is the second page:

Try Stampin on Tuesday #1

Good morning, my sister just told me about this new site this morning so I thought before the close off today I would give it a go, as soon as I saw the sketch I knew just what I wanted to do, so it came together quickly thank goodness and im sure I only just made it in on time. I hope to do this each week as Tuesday are a good day for me to be able to sit down and create, how ever since this is from overseas it will be a Wednesday here I guess or late Tuesday afternoon. Anyway give it a go its new and the more that do the challenge the more ideas we get from them.

I just realsied I was in such a hurry to get this done I have put the DSP around the wrong way I was hoping for the red to be on the front. Opps that will teach me for being so quick. I guess the lines dont look that bad but I may ahve to try and fix it, I will add the photo if i manage to do it.

And My Card:

Just Add Ink #55

Good evening, it has been one very hot day today, although it did start out as a miserable foggy morning. We even had some rain so the saying four seasons in one day really fits today.

My husband arrived home nice and early tonight and gave me a lovely red rose wrapped in a gorgeous red material, the funny thing is I had also been to the same shop and brought the same red rose for him. the only difference is he brought one in a lovely vase.

I managed to make time today to make my husband a valentines card, and since this weeks theme for Just Add Ink is Just Add Love then this fits perfectly.

Here is my card:

I have stamped on the background of the Pear Pizzazz with the same colour to give it body with the new Bliss stamp set. I have also stamped on the hearts with the same set but in white. I have stitched the edge of the hearts to finish them off. I have sponged with pear pizzazz on the Top Note Die to blend into the background. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and I have used twine to finish it off.

60th Birthday Celebration Card.

Good evening, this is a very late post for me but if I left it till the morning then I would miss out on this weeks Just Add Ink challenge.

I have chosen to combine two challenges this week, they are Just Add inks…. Just add Colour Combination and Mojo Monday #177.

I have my mother in laws birthday coming up later this month and thought these two challenges was perfect for the occasion.

These are colours I would not normally put together but I like the result. All stamp sets I have used are from this years SAB.

Sorry for the rushed post but it is past my bed time so here is my card.

Just one more photo and nothing to do with cards but I just had to share this. This is tonight’s sunset outside my house, isn’t it just beautiful, the colours are simply stunning.

Stamp Camp Swap

Good morning, Sorry I haven’t posted for a while I have been busy making 32 swaps for Stamp Camp and also I have been making my swaps for this months ATC swap. I had a great weekend away with a few other demonstrators from the Creative Inkers Team, for a stamp camp in Rotorua. We had five great projects taught to us which I will post this week, as the teachers have asked us to wait so they can post their project first.

I thought I would show you my swap I made, our challenge was to use anything form the mini or the SAB catalogues, as I didn’t have much from them at the time I only used the Lattice Embossing Folder. I used the bleaching technique which I am loving at the moment and as I was giving them out couldn’t believe how many people have not done this technique yet.

It is quite easy, all you do is stamp with VersaMark then emboss the image. (this is to contain the bleach) you then use a aqua painter and dip it into household bleach and paint. if you would rather fill your aqua painter with the bleach then remember to write on the pen so you remember that one is only for bleaching. to make the colour change quickly use a heat gun and dry it. I prefer using a darker colour cardstock as the change is more noticeable than a softer colour but both work just fine. If you would like to see what colour your cardstock will bleach to then just try on a sample sheet first. I find the lighter ones go white and the darker ones go yellow.
