ESAD HOLIDAY CATALOGUE BLOG HOP!!

Good morning, and welcome to my blog, today I have four cards to share with you, I have enjoyed making these, and I have to say the last one is my favourite.

For the first card, I did the stamping at our annual Heartfelt Stampin’ Event Here in Auckland last weekend, my favourite part was just sitting down at the tables and playing with the new Framelits. These create a quick and easy image with out all the fussy cutting. Sorry back to the card, I have used our new in-colours Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit. I have also Used the Shimmer Paint to give it some sparkle. As you can see I made my own flower for the top corner, for this I used the Summer Starfruit Satin Ribbon and threaded it through a brad till it looked like that. A nice quick way to create a decoration in the colours you need. The stamp set is called Snowflake Soiree.

For my second card I have Used the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder called Holiday Frame, and teamed it up with Scentsational Season, using their Framelits Die to cut out the tree, this is also edged with Dazzling Diamonds to give the sparkle of Christmas. I have sponged the back ground with Crumb Cake for a vintage look, this also brings out the design. I have finished it off with a simple bow from the Scallop Dots Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler. This was also very easy to go together once you have a design in mind. Colours used were Old Olive, Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler.

For my third card I have Used the new Ornament Keepsakes along with their new Framelits to cut them out. I have embossed the image with Pewter Embossing Powder from the main Catty on page 159. I have folded them in half and glued three together to create a 3D image. For the main colour I have used Cherry Cobbler, this is my favourite Christmas colour and use it on almost every Christmas card I make. I have then placed a strip of DSP on the left hand side called Be of Good Cheer from the main Catty page 164, I have then cut out a rectangle of the silver Glimmer card and placed on top of that a piece of whisper white that has been embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder on an angle. I have then cut out a triangle of another piece of DSP from the same pack and placed over the Whisper White. This has been finished with a paper chain and a little bow.

Now for my favourite card, I wanted to use the new Shaker Frames from the main catty page 177, but in a different way, so for this card I have stamped the image from Scentsational Season being the very cute gingerbread man in Raspberry Ripple. I have then embossed this in the clear Embossing Powder and cut them out using their matching Framelits. As you can see I have cut out a little heart in their tummies. I have then placed a piece of Acetate behind the image and used the shaker frames. For the decorations in the tummy I have punched out very little circles in the new Glimmer Paper in Champagne and then used the owl punch and glued two together, so that if they flipped over you always got colour and not the white backing on the card. (this did take a very long time but well worth it) If I have the Glass Stampin’ Glitter in Champagne then I would have used that. I have also used the Striped Embossing folder on an angle for the background on this one. For this I have simply placed the card stock on an angle in the folder and run it through the big shot. For the patterned paper on the left I have used the stamp set called Snowflake Soiree again. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments in the main catty on page 133. and cut out using the punches Word Window and Modern Label.

I hope you have enjoyed my page and have had time to read it all, sorry it’s so long but I didn’t want to leave anything out.

ESAD New Catty Blog Hop

Good afternoon and welcome to my blog, I hope you are enjoying all the wonderful projects designed by our talented demonstrators over at ESAD.

For my cards I have used a range of stamps and accessories from our new catalogue that went live on September 1st. This time of year for me is always so exciting, I love new ideas and being able to see all the new products that Stampin Up have released.

For my fist card I have used the new stamp set called Everything Eleanor, along side with Bring on the Cake. I have created my own Patterned paper in the colours I wanted my card in, so I started with a piece of neutrals Patterns stack paper and added a design to it using the Everything Eleanor set, if you look close you can see the ink almost resists the pattern and looks like it has been there all along. I made the flower using a scallop circle punch, I broke the fibres in the card stock and tore the card in half to make two flowers from one piece, this makes a really soft flower and uses half the amount of card stock. The ribbon is Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon. For the design at the bottom I have used a new embossing folder called Delicate Designs Folders and then cut out using the new Edgelits called Large Scallop Edgelits. The colours used here are Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Raspberry Ripple and Midnight Muse.

The inside, I always match my insides with the envelope to give that extra personal touch.

For my second card I have used the same technique for the background but this time on the Basic Black Patterns Paper. This stamp set is called Serene Silhouettes and I have teamed it up with Teeny Tiny Sentiments. I have also based my card on the same base colours but used basic Black instead of Crumb Cake. I have also used the new Textured Impressions embossing folder in the Holiday Mini called Lacy  Brocade. The sentiment is punched out using Decorative label Punch and triple layered on card stock. I have finished this one with Three basic Pearls

Try Stampin Tuesday #82

For this sketch I decided I wanted to do a masculine card, something a little different. So we have some old and of course some new products used here. I am just loving the new set called Everything Eleanor, I think I have used for every card I have made this last couple of days.

Here is the Sketch:

Here is my card, I didn’t want to use a bow as most males don’t really like them so I changed it to a buckle. as you can see the old is using the DSP called Mocha Morning Specialty, and the new is the stamp set Everything Eleanor and the glimmer paper. The sentiment is from Word Play.

Inside and of course the envelope matches this.

Make sure you check back on Sunday as I am part of a blog hop, show casing new products for the latest catty.

Pinterest Tuesday

Good evening, today I have a couple of cards to show you I made these last week but forgot to post them for pinterest Tuesday so I set up a challenge today for everyone to make a card using this one as their inspiration, I thought it would be nice to see the different takes of one card.

Here is the card:

Lollipop Card

Here are my two cards that I made using this idea.

Card 1, don’t the three glimmer papers go nicely together, a great way to see them all in one place.

DSC01758

and card number 2:

DSC01759

the pink one I made first and if you look close enough you can see it’s not quite circle for the Christmas one I used a traced circle underneath to keep the shape perfect.

have a great week, and enjoy looking at the new ideas using all the new products for the latest catalogue.
