Creative Inkers Occasions Blog Hop

Occasions Badge

Welcome back to another amazing Creative Inkers Blog Hop. Today we are show casing the new Occasions Mini Catalogue.

Tonight I am sharing with you the Simply Created “Hooray It’s Your Day” Kit. This kit makes 4 different cards and 5 of each one, so a total of 20 cards plus envelopes. I have created 2 from each design. The first card is a straight copy from the kit and the second is a similar card but designed by myself.

Here is the first card straight from Stampin’ Up’s design (please note I do not have the stamp set that matches this kit so I have used Celebrate Today from the Occasions Catalogue (137138)

Here is the same card but designed by myself. For this card I have added the flower from Blended Bloom.

Here is card 2:

My design for this card, I have centred the sun burst back ground before I spritz it. I have also cut the tops off the silver embellishments and placed a star to cover the join. The basket is also from the set Celebrate Today.

Creative Inkers SAB Blog Hop

Blog Buttons-006

Happy new year to you all. I hope you have had a fabulous break, our weather here in the north Island has been fantastic with very little rain, if any to be honest.

Tonight we bring you an exciting blog hop featuring items from the current SAB catalogue. This is the best time of the year for Stampin’ Up! as they offer free product for every $110 you spend from our current catalogues.

Our lovely ladies from Creative Inkers have produced wonderful ideas featuring these items, it is always great to see how many different ways a single stamp set can be used, or in our case a few stamp sets as well as DSP, Ribbon, Buttons, Project Life and Blendabilities. And all these YOU can earn for free.

For my first card I have used the DSP called Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper. (138633) I have added the cute buttons from the ribbons/buttons that co-ordinate with these papers called Best Year Ever Accessory Pack. (138634) the bows have been made using the Bow Builder Punch in our current Occasions catalogue. The sentiment is also from the same catalogue called Crazy About You. (if you come back next Monday at 8pm we have another fabulous blog hop featuring these items and many more from the new Occasions Catalogue)

A small tip about the Bow Builder Punch is to make sure you use your bone folder to curl your bow pieces. This creates a perfect round bow with no crease marks.

Here it is with its matching envelope:

For my second card I have used the stamp set called Lotus Blossom (139143), This stamp set is a great way to use colour and get amazing shading in your flowers with no technique.

I have also used the Speciality Designer Series Paper called Irresistibly Yours SDSP. (138635) This is a neat DSP where you can add any colour to it that you want. It comes with images on the card that are clear embossed, so when you add colour the embossed images stay white. I have sponged Real Red onto my card to create a bold image. Again I have used the Bow Builder Punch at the bottom of the bunch to finish it off.

Thank you for stopping by and dont forget to come back next Monday 26th January at 8pm for our Occasions Catalogue Blog Hop.
