Sweet Love

Good evening I know Valentine’s day was yesterday but I still had two cards that I had not shared with you so I thought rather than not showing I would just do it late. I hope everyone had a great day and got something special. My husband and I don’t really do Valentine’s but he brought me home a very special card made by a dear friend of mine Pam. So a big thank you Pam it was very lovely and a very nice surprise.

For the first card I was given this pretty stamp by Pam the first time we met, so I really wanted to make a card using this stamp, and I’m sure you will agree with me it is a very cute one.

Now for the Pics:

and with the envelope:

And for the other card is one I CASED off Jacque, it’s a simple one but very effective. I did two different layouts, both similar but slightly different. The heart is stamped in Versa Mark then embossed in iridescent powder then you very carefully sponge in the colour to highlight the image.

This is the one I like the best:

I have just finished a scrapbook page using the Free DSP (for every $120 you spend till the 31st March) and I cant wait to share it with you. I am also currently working on another layout and hope to finish that this week sometime.

Punch Art Elephant – Oh So Cute

Now this is one you see and just go oh that is so cute. As soon as I saw it over at I knew I just had to case it. This lady is one talented person and her work is amazing.

I have done two versions of the card and I am working on a third which I will post when it is finished. Here are my cards. The first one is using the Top Note Die and making an Easel Card.

And for the second one I used the Top Note Die again but this time placed it on white backing card, and as you can see I added the balloons and even made the Top Note Die look like a wall by scoring it then lightly sponging over it.

Twin Boys

Good morning, well two days ago I was phoned up and asked if I could make a card for someone who has just had twin boys now she needed it to be larger than normal so I made it a A4 folded in half.  I had no idea what she was after except that it was twin boys, so this is what I cam up with:

Close up of the prams, there was quite a bit of work with these two, first I stamped in Staz-on in Black, then I water-coloured them in and placed brads in the wheels and the top join on the pram. I then used my stamp-a-ma-jig and placed the babies and the booties in place. I also stamped the booties on some scrap and cut them out and paper pieced them on top of the original image, also using my stamp-a-ma-jig I placed the bundle(s) of love and all in ones in the centre.  The blue border around the images is done using the large scallop square die and folding it, so it was the right size for the card. (that was quite tricky as you had to get the paper folded in the right spot to keep the scallops even.)

For the middle I have used the wheel and simply coloured them in, I didn’t want too much going on in the middle as she wanted it to be signed by everyone in the office.

Beautiful Butterflies meets SAB

Good evening, today’s first card is one I made at class a few weeks ago to celebrate SAB being here (that stands for Sale-a-bration) for every $120 you spend you can choose from 6 different items for free. For as long as I have known SU they have normally had 4 stamp sets to choose from, however this year we also have a pack of DSP and a pack of brads and ribbon. This card shows off the ribbon, brads and paper, it also shows one of the stamp sets that co-ordinate with them all.

The inside:

I had a play with a few new toys that I ordered, and this is what I came up with, I wanted to keep to a simple layout but also use as much of the SAB items as I could. I have to say this one looks a lot nicer in person than it is on here.

Close up, aren’t those ribbons just great?

The inside of the card is always the same as the envelope to make it all have that special handmade effect.

Thank you for stopping by I have a few more cards I have been working on so i will do my best to blog those soon, including a special twin boys card I made today.
