Mojo Monday #162

Good morning,

Today’s post is for this weeks Mojo Monday, (I will not miss the dead line this week) I have chosen to stick to the Christmas theme and I just had to play with my new punch, ornament extra-large and stamp set Delightful Decorations. I also used my new Impressions Embossing folder, Elegant Bouquet.

I have stamped the decoration three times on Very Vanilla card stock, once in Cherry Cobbler and twice in Old Olive. I then punched them out and folded them in half. I glued one half of each of the green to the red one, and that formed half a decoration, just perfect for a card.

I have sponged around all the card stock and stamped a sentiment at the top.

I have placed the Very Vanilla background on Cherry Cobbler as my base.

Clean and Simple #113

Good afternoon,

Today I have made a card for the new Clean and Simple Challenge, as soon as I saw it I drew up a sketch of how I wanted this to work for me. I knew I wanted to use Christmas colours, and to be different I decided to turn the sketch around and also round off my corners.

I’m not sure if you can see in the photo but I have used Versamark on the Very Vanilla and on the Old Olive and used the background stamp Polka Dot. And of course being Christmas I have put Dazzling Diamonds on the Snow Flakes.

I really like how it turned out, I may just have to make a few as they are really easy but look great.

 Here is the sketch:

Just Add…..Colour Scrapbook Pages

Wow my second post for the day, I would have left this till tomorrow but the Mojo Monday finishes today. Well I have just missed the deadline by 2 minutes, gutted. I have also done this for this weeks Just add……. and its colour.

Here are the colours for the challenge from Just Add…..:

and the sketch for Mojo Monday is:

And here is submission, I choose to do a scrapbook page or pages in this case as I haven’t done many lately so I thought it was a good chance to get another in my book.

All the paper is from Stampin up the patterned paper is from the DSP Patterns Stack-In Colour.

I have put the trim through my crimper just to be different, I have also stamped around the edge of the tag using my Vintage Vogue Set. The punch from the trim is Scallop Trim Border and of course I have used the In-Colour ribbon to match.

The heading is cut out using my Cricut Machine.

Three Birthday cards in one weekend

Today’s post is mostly a non Stampin Up post. I had three birthday cards to make this weekend and of course I left it to the last-minute. Two were for one year olds and one was for a three-year old. I don’t really have any stamps for little ones so I got out the cricut and quickly cut out some things, here are the cards I made.

For a one year old boy:

For a Three year old girl:

I am still working on faces, but I think im getting better.

All the card stock is of course Stampin Up, the quality is amazing and is so easy to work with.

For a one year old Girl:

The Cupcake tops are made with puff paint but while it was still wet I added some sprinkles (beads) then after about 12 hours, once it has dried you heat the paint and it puffs up, I have received a lot of very nice comments on how effective the sprinkles are on the top. and don’t forget the cherry on the top.  A bright red pearl.

I have used the scallop circle punch and the 1 3/8 circle punch here. I have also used two of the stamps from the set, Cheery Chat, (retired.)

Embossing Resist with Dasher

Here is the second card we made at Jacques on Monday night.

For this one we used the new Glimmer Paints and of course the Dasher Stamp.

The Technique we used was embossing resist.

The ribbon is stuck to the card using one of the Vintage Brads. I did find a great trick to getting the ribbon folded right to sit in the brad, and that is to use sticky strip and mountain, valley it first. (hope that makes sense)

The Snow flake is using the Glimmer Paint and also lightly over the red card stock.

 Here is the card:

And here is Brons, her Dasher is on the right, yes it was me that did mine backwards but I like it.

 Have a great day.

Advanced Embossing

Good morning,

On Monday night I went to Jacques house for a class. We did our second Techniques class, in this class we did advance embossing.

Our first card was a technique called Cracked Glass, what an amazing effect it gives the card and when I showed my husband, as I always do as soon as I walk in the door after a class, he even said that looks like broken glass.

You can’t see that well but half the flowers are chalked in blue to tie in the DSP, what a great technique and im sure I will be teaching my friends this one.

We also made a matching envelope and stamped the inside of the card to match the envelope.

 Here is the card:

You can check out Brons card here, she has used a different DSP on hers.

Check out tomorrow for the other card we made, it’s a beautiful christmas card using Dasher.

My new Ring

Thought I would quickly put up a post of my new ring, this photo is of all three together, dont they look great. I must brag I did design my wedding and eternity bands.

I got my eternity ring for loosing my goal weight of 25 kgs and keeping it off for 6 weeks. I called it my reward and im glad Nick agreed. I love it.

As I walked out of the shop I must admit I did think about what do I need to annoy nick for now, (selfish I know) but hey I am a girl after all and I love jewellery.

 Have a great day.

Embossing Resist Card

Well I know I said the last post was my last one for stamp camp but now that Jacque is in Hamilton Island ( follow her trip here) I can post the last card we made, this is totally a wow card, my husband just loves it, so I guess since his birthday is next month I will do this effect for his.

The technique is embossing resist so we stamped the clock first. We brayered the top two colours and sponged the base colour,

The tree was stamped last and we used a white gel pen to highlight it.

We also used the pastels to colour the white flowers at the bottom on the base card.

well today i am hoping to get a chance to do the clean and simple sketch, I have been trying to make time all week to do it.

Enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend.

Different Card Techniques Used at Stamp Camp

Good Morning.

The last post of the projects from Stamp Camp. For these we made some beautiful cards all with a different technique on it.

The angel card is using punch art, isn’t she gorgeous, it’s also an easel card. I even embossed the envelope to match.

The deer card we used gold embossing powder and also sponged the mountains and brayered the sky.

For the last card we made flowers out of punches and sponged the edges for the effect needed.

We used the pearls for the centres. For the leaves we used the oval punch and put it through the crimper, we also sponged the edge of the card to give a vintage look.

There was one other card and its my husbands favourite but Jacque would like to use it for her swap for Hamilton island so I will post that one in a few weeks.
