Plaid Technique Card #1

Good evening, it feels a lot later than it is tonight for some reason, it is only 6pm but it feels like it’s around 8pm. Tonight I have a card to share with you that I made at Jacques house on Monday night. It was a techniques class which she holds once a month, on Monday  we did the technique called plaid silhouette. This is where you cover your image in one colour, then you get your next colour and using your ink pad press down using the edge to create a diamond effect.

Here is the first card we made:

So we stamped the image in Bashful blue then criss crossed it in Old Olive. I was quite heavy-handed with my first card so you can’t see the criss cross very well but I like how it turned out. Here is the inside:

there is a bit of sponging and tearing with this card. And here it is with the envelope:

Camera Mystery and Birthday Photos

good evening, I’m am so sorry about my lack of posts lately but it seems my camera has gone missing and it is no where to be found at this point in time.

We are pretty sure my son who is 23 months has taken it somewhere but he has hidden it so well we can’t find it anywhere.

Anyway here are some photos from my daughters birthday party in the weekend, as you can see she had a massive day with all her friends and family.

Birthday Girl:

The cake, what you can’t see in the photo is that I embossed the white icing to give a lace look, I also gave her earrings, and a matching necklace. She also has chocolate wings:

A Walk in the Park Scrapbook Page

Good afternoon,

Today I have a scrapbook page to share with you, this has been made for a mini challenge with Stampin’ Fun and Friends.

The page is of my daughter trying to walk her Nanni and Poppa’s dog Rosie. It was quite a funny thing to watch, we never knew who was walking who as most of the time Rosie was in the lead.

Here is the Picture we had for inspiration:

Here is my Scrapbook Page:

and a close up:

As you can see all the flowers were cut out by hand and then stuck together to create a vine.

Have a great weekend, We have Caitlyn’s 5th birthday party on Sunday so it is going to be a very busy weekend for me. I made her cake tonight so at least that is out of the way, as soon as we find our camera I will take a photo and share it with you all.

Good Evening,

It has been a great day here in Auckland, the sun is out and I got quite a few hours of gardening done.

Last night I cleaned my desk so I could actually sit down and create a card. I combined two challenges into one and they worked very well together. The first one is from this weeks sketch challenge on Try Stampin On Tuesday.

and the second one is for a special web site that a lovely lady CherylAnn has started. Each day she is putting up a new project for you to make but she is also doing mini challenges during this time. If you are interested or curious we would love you to join us, it’s not too late. check out CherylAnn’s website here. Today’s one is a colour challenge, here are the colours:

So Saffron, Rose Red , Wild Wasabi.

Here is my card, this is the first time I have made these little flowers.
