60th Birthday Celebration Card.

Good evening, this is a very late post for me but if I left it till the morning then I would miss out on this weeks Just Add Ink challenge.

I have chosen to combine two challenges this week, they are Just Add inks…. Just add Colour Combination and Mojo Monday #177.

I have my mother in laws birthday coming up later this month and thought these two challenges was perfect for the occasion.

These are colours I would not normally put together but I like the result. All stamp sets I have used are from this years SAB.

Sorry for the rushed post but it is past my bed time so here is my card.

Mojo Monday # 168

Good morning, last night I had a look at this weeks Mojo Monday and knew straight away what I was going to do with that sketch. I have just received my new order of goodies and couldn’t wait to use them. To tell you the truth I cant believe I waited to long to order these two stamp sets. Baroque Motifs and En Francais, they look amazing together.

For the Christmas tree I have embossed it in gold and sponged the edges to finish it, same with the piece with the sentiment on it, that is also sponged around the edges. The background has a larger area that is sponged to give the aged affect.

I didn’t have any ribbon in Cherry Cobbler as Stampin up don’t seem to have any in this colour so I got out my DSP and cut a strip, this is a good way to make your own ribbon for this situation.

Here is the Sketch:

Ornament Hot Air Balloon Card

Good morning, I saw someone use the ornament punch like this so I thought I would design my own card but using the same idea.. I also made it for this weeks sketch challenge for Mojo Monday, which of course I have missed again. I seem to be getting good at that, going to upload it, when the linky run out just hours before.

Anyway I still have the card so I might as well post it for you to see.

Here is the Sketch:

Mojo Monday #163

Good morning,

I did it, my goal yesterday was to complete this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge, and it was all done by lunch time (well maybe a little bit after), I have turned the sketch around and did it sideways.

I just love this set, unfortunately Stampin Up didn’t put it in this years catalogue, it is a set of three stamps which I used all of for the card. It is called Gifts of Christmas.

For the dove I have embossed it in gold, I would have liked to colour it all in but I cant seem to find my versa-mark pen, (must remember to check under my daughter’s bed later, as she hides everything under there if she has taken it) so instead I have cut it out and stuck it on dimensionals.

I don’t have the Curly Label punch for the top so I used my Round Tab instead, I thought if I wanted it could be a book mark, and I may add a little bit of ribbon at the top so someone can use it as one.

Mojo Monday #162

Good morning,

Today’s post is for this weeks Mojo Monday, (I will not miss the dead line this week) I have chosen to stick to the Christmas theme and I just had to play with my new punch, ornament extra-large and stamp set Delightful Decorations. I also used my new Impressions Embossing folder, Elegant Bouquet.

I have stamped the decoration three times on Very Vanilla card stock, once in Cherry Cobbler and twice in Old Olive. I then punched them out and folded them in half. I glued one half of each of the green to the red one, and that formed half a decoration, just perfect for a card.

I have sponged around all the card stock and stamped a sentiment at the top.

I have placed the Very Vanilla background on Cherry Cobbler as my base.

Just Add…..Colour Scrapbook Pages

Wow my second post for the day, I would have left this till tomorrow but the Mojo Monday finishes today. Well I have just missed the deadline by 2 minutes, gutted. I have also done this for this weeks Just add……. and its colour.

Here are the colours for the challenge from Just Add…..:

and the sketch for Mojo Monday is:

And here is submission, I choose to do a scrapbook page or pages in this case as I haven’t done many lately so I thought it was a good chance to get another in my book.

All the paper is from Stampin up the patterned paper is from the DSP Patterns Stack-In Colour.

I have put the trim through my crimper just to be different, I have also stamped around the edge of the tag using my Vintage Vogue Set. The punch from the trim is Scallop Trim Border and of course I have used the In-Colour ribbon to match.

The heading is cut out using my Cricut Machine.

Mojo Monday 159

Good Morning,

It’s another great day here in Auckland although im not sure if the sun will stay out today it looks a bit grey out back.

I had a great night last night I went to a class at Jacques house, it is always so much fun, although I love the card we made, we all agreed not to post it since Jacque is thinking of using it as her swap for Hamilton Island. Anyway thanks Jacque I may just need to buy the Ornament punch and stamp set now.

Today I have another sketch challenge. This one is for this weeks Mojo Monday challenge.

I have stuck to the Christmas theme as I need to get some made anyway. I have done some water colouring on this one, I like the effect on the truck.
